Walking/Birding Tours

Exclusive to Gibson Heritage House guests!

Gibson Heritage House Bed & Breakfast will sponsor walking/birding *tour packages.  Enjoy 4 nights and 3 days of relaxation (off season rates apply with arrival Monday evening and departure Friday morning - choose your suite).

Stroll the trails along the waterways, through the woods and meadows while experiencing the Okanagan's transition into fall with the orchards beginning to bear fruit, the vineyards laden with grapes and the beautiful fall colors!

While these are primarily walking tours, during your 4 - 5 hour walk you will visit the outskirts of Penticton including the Okanagan Falls Nature Trust and the Vasseaux Lake Bird Sanctuary, we encourage you to take the time to observe our desert-like country.

Tour Fees:

$50.00 CDN +GST per day

(minimum of 6 participants required)

*Participation in this tour is not required.  You may decide to relax and enjoy the grounds or the city sites.
Time: 9:30 am each day
Days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Your tour guide will provide transportation to and from each tour and a box lunch is provided by the Gibson House.  A social hour following each day's tour will allow guests to share their experiences and observations.

Remember to pack warm clothes and rain gear as well as sturdy walking boots or shoes (yes, Penticton has been known to offer inclement weather). May we also suggest you bring your reference books and binoculars/camera.  It is imperative that you are physically able to complete the walking tour as you may be climbing hillside trails. The Gibson House will require all tour guests to sign a waiver prior to commencing on the tour.
